Well I can hardly believe it but Love Pop Choir is one year old today! How time flies.

What an amazing first year this has been. Setting up the choir has been such an incredible journey, very hard work, but such great fun. I have loved it.

There have been so many highlights, perhaps the most inspiring being our performance at The British Transplant Games, something I will never forget and I am sure you won't too. What an honour it was to perform for the children and their families.

This year has seen Love Pop Choir open six fabulous new groups, plus we successfully re-launched our wonderful Otley group. Our choir has gone from strength to strength and many of our groups are almost full to capacity. Fingers crossed, we are hoping to open another group with a new Choir Director in the Autumn.

We've performed at 30 events over the year, raising thousands of pounds for charity and had the most amazing time creating memories and making lifelong friends. We have more events in the pipeline so lots more fun to come.

Of course all of this is down to you, my wonderful friends who have made Love Pop Choir the huge success it is. There is just something about our choir that fills me with such joy and I hope you feel the same. I love being a part of this fantastic network of women who love to sing and make friends, our fabulous choir family.

We are so lucky to have our super talented Choir Directors and I want to say a special thank you to them for bringing so much energy and enthusiasm to their groups. Georgia who leads Roundhay, Shane who leads Saltaire and Kim who leads Ilkley and Otley are all so dedicated to making sure that everyone has a great time. I hope I bring that same fun and energy to my groups in Harrogate and Cookridge too.

So here we go, heading into year two, with so much to look forward to. I can't thank you all enough for going on this journey with me and I hope you continue to be a part of Love Pop Choir for many, many years to come.

In the words of William James "I don't sing because I'm happy. I'm happy because I sing!"

Love and Best Wishes

Lauren xx
